Where information comes from and what is required

Most personal information comes directly from you. Product information comes from our catalogue records, and technical information is generated when your device communicates with the website. If another person submits information on your behalf, we may receive it from them.

Fields marked as required are needed to provide the requested service, identify an appliance, prevent fraudulent registrations or meet warranty administration requirements. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to fulfil the request or register the appliance. Other fields are optional.

Who receives personal information

We may share information only where necessary with:

  • authorised Kitchen Tago staff who handle catalogue, support and warranty requests;
  • Sanity, which provides the content-management system used to store request and registration records;
  • hosting, network, security, communications and IT support providers acting for us;
  • print and postal fulfilment providers where you request a printed catalogue;
  • repair agents, logistics providers, manufacturers or retailers where needed to handle support or a warranty matter;
  • professional advisers, insurers, auditors and prospective purchasers of the business where confidentiality protections apply; and
  • courts, regulators, law enforcement or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data protection law treats the destination as not providing an adequate level of protection, we use an approved safeguard such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. We also assess supplementary protections where required.

Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected and apply these normal periods:

  • catalogue requests: up to 24 months after fulfilment or the last related contact;
  • warranty registrations and claims: for the warranty period and normally up to six years after the warranty or claim ends;
  • support, complaint and legal correspondence: normally up to six years after closure;
  • routine security and diagnostic logs: normally no longer than 12 months; and
  • records needed to demonstrate consent, objections or compliance: for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance.

We may keep information longer where law, litigation, an active complaint, fraud prevention or a regulatory request requires it. We may retain anonymised information that can no longer identify you.

Cookies and similar technologies

At the date of this notice, the public catalogue does not use non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting and security infrastructure may process technical request data and use storage that is strictly necessary to deliver and protect the service.

If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we will provide suitable information and a consent control before using them, except where an exemption under applicable electronic communications law applies. You can also use browser controls to remove or block stored data, although essential functions may then be affected.

Marketing communications

The consent boxes on the catalogue and warranty forms permit contact about that specific request. They are not consent to unrelated direct marketing. We will send electronic marketing only where permitted by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and UK data protection law, and every marketing message will provide a simple way to opt out.

You may object to direct marketing at any time by contacting us.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • ask for access to your personal information and a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask us to erase information where there is no lawful reason to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict how information is used;
  • receive information you provided in a portable format where the legal conditions apply;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests and object absolutely to direct marketing; and
  • withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis, without affecting earlier lawful use.

These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply. To exercise a right, email support@kitchentago.com. We may request information reasonably needed to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We normally respond within the period required by law and do not charge a fee unless a lawful exception applies.

Questions and complaints

Please contact us first at support@kitchentago.com or write to Kitchen Tago Ltd, Unit 1 Monmore Business Park, Dixon Street, Wolverhampton, England, WV2 2BT. We will investigate and respond in accordance with applicable data protection complaint-handling requirements.

You also have the right to complain to the UK data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113. If you live outside the UK, you may also be entitled to contact your local supervisory authority.

Security

We use proportionate organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. Access to catalogue and warranty records is restricted to people who need it for their role. No online service is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information that we have not requested.

Children

This website and its request forms are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information should contact us so we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete it.

Automated decision-making

We do not use information collected through this website to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Automated checks may reject malformed, abusive or suspected bot submissions, but warranty and support outcomes are not decided solely by those checks.

Other websites and the official store

When you follow a link to an official store, retailer or another website, that service may collect personal information under its own privacy notice. Review that notice before submitting information. Our Website Terms and Conditions explain how external links and purchases are treated.

Changes to this notice

We review this notice when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The revision date appears at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to the attention of affected people before the new use begins where required by law.
